About Our End-of-Life Care Educational Offerings

To share the clinical end-of-life expertise we have developed since 1978, VITAS Healthcare offers free webinars by experienced hospice professionals to educate on the benefits of hospice. The webinars are approved for 1 continuing education credit for case managers, nurses and social workers with active licenses. CNAs, home aides, physicians, chaplains, dietitians and other healthcare professionals are welcome to participate.

VITAS Continuing Education Details

VITAS Healthcare programs in California/Connecticut/Delaware/Illinois/Northern Virginia/Ohio/Pennsylvania/Washington DC/Wisconsin are provided CE credit for their Social Workers through VITAS Healthcare Corporation, provider #1222, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. VITAS Healthcare maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: (06/06/15 - 06/06/21). Social Workers participating in these courses will receive 1 to 2 clinical or social work ethics continuing education clock hour(s) depending on CE topic. {Counselors/MFT/IMFT are not eligible in Ohio}

This course is approved for one continuing education credit hour for attendees with an active license as an advanced registered nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, licensed practical nurse, licensed vocational nurse, registered nurse, certified master social worker, licensed clinical social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed mental health counselor or certified case manager. Attendance for the entire online webinar, as well as completion of a brief online evaluation, is required; certifications are made available after completion.
